Whales Stranded in Golden Bay

On Monday morning our Sharyn got the call up from Team Jonah to help rescue 40 pilot whales that had stranded themselves overnight.

Sharyn spent 5 hours with a big boy they affectionally named “Bob.” They got him up and going but not sure if he made it through the night. Sadly this morning, Tuesday, 30 of the whales have restranded themselves with the other 10 having passed away.

Sharyn says it was an amazing experience being able to bond with these whales who clearly knew that the people were there to help them.
